Myths about Women's Health
Many people believe that women's health is like a delicate flower that needs to be kept in careful hands. Others say that women are simply more prone to get sick than men. And still others say that women are fragile, delicate flowers. But all of these beliefs are wrong. What women need is the exact same information that men need.
Breast Problems in
Women
A full, healthy breast is a huge part of a woman's body
image. A woman's breasts are her most prominent features, and she may feel as
though she is not as attractive as a woman without a perky pair of breasts. A
woman who has been pregnant may feel as though her breasts never return to
their normal shape after she becomes pregnant again. There are many common factors that can affect your breast
health if they aren’t taken care of the right way, such as genetics. Genetics
can play a huge role in how well your breasts look and feel if you do not know
what it is saying to your body. Breast cancer is still a major concern for
women. In fact, it is the second largest cause of cancer deaths in women in the
United States.
Cellulite in Women
Cellulite is a common condition that can occur in both men
and women, but is most common in women. It is caused by fat and connective
tissues (the skin and underlying muscle and bone) in and around the areas
affected by the skin. Many factors may affect the severity and appearance of
cellulite, such as nutrition, genetics, and health. The appearance of cellulite
in women is likely caused by genetics and the way in which fat is stored.
Cellulite can be treated with non-invasive methods such as laser resurfacing
and massage.
Yeast infection in
Women
Yeast infections, or “candidiasis”, often go undiagnosed and
untreated. This situation leads to a lot of suffering and distress and can lead
to other conditions such as vaginal, vaginal bacterial or dermatologic
infections.
Urinary tract
infections in Women
Urinary tract infections in women can be a very serious and
worrisome condition. These infections usually occur when the bacteria which
live in the urinary tract (bladder, kidney and ureter) multiply too quickly and
cause an inflammatory response in the lining of the urinary tract. This can be
a serious infection that can cause severe pain and constipation or severe pain
and swelling. Other severe consequences arise from severe inflammations in the
area that cause permanent damage and even death.
